The two men ride until they come to Badan, where Maiyarap has his kingdom, and are passed through the many gates and guards that surround the palace, until they are brought into the giant's presence.  Prostrating themselves before him, Nonyawik and Waiyuwake deliver Totsagan's greetings and read his embassy.

Maiyarap is greatly upset to hear of the trouble his ally has been having and complains only that the request for aid has not come sooner.  Having seen that the envoys have refreshed themselves, he sends them back to Totsagan with the assurance that he himself will lead his army to the relief of Longka with all speed.
