Swiftly Maiyarap flies back to Badan, where he places the sleeping Phra Ram in an iron cage.  He ensures that his nephew Waiyawik is still safely locked away, and orders his sister Pirakuan to set to work drawing water from the magic lake outside the walls of his palace, intending that on the morrow Phra Ram and Waiyawik should be boiled alive.
