Hanuman returns to the upper world to find Phra Ram safe in the care of the angels.  He takes the sleeping king in his arms and flies back to Longka and the monkey camp, the severed head of Maiyarap held in one foot.

When Phra Ram is brought back to consciousness, he can hardly believe the story that the Son of the Wind tells him.  Pipeck and his own brother Lak, however, confirm that he has indeed been abducted, while as material evidence to back his remarkable (and, to tell the truth, slightly embellished) account of the recovery, Hanuman is able to show the head of Maiyarap.

No longer in doubt, Phra Ram promises Hanuman that he shall one day be joint ruler of Ayutaya, giving him his ring in earnest of this reward.  Hanuman throws himself gratefully before the king in acknowledgement of this honor.
